Campground Layout and Features
The campground has about 15 sites, but the number depends on how people select their sites. The camp is on a grassy flat area enclosed by a waist-high fence. The sites are unmarked, and you should set up perpendicular to the surrounding fence.
No facilities are provided at this camp. Do not place any rubbish in the national park’s bins across the road. There is a skip at the far end of the ferry parking area.
There is a pub across the road, and Triabunna’s shops are an easy walk away.
The cost to stay at this camp is $10 a night. The fee is to be paid at the takeaway shop on the corner of Charles and Vicary Streets. The location is shown in the image below. All collected fees are donated to the Royal Doctor Flying Service.
While there is a requirement to be self-contained, grey water may be discharged on the ground.

We enjoyed our time at this campground. It is a relaxed place to stay. It is a save place you leave your van if you intend to stay on Maria Island for a night or two as we did.
