Quartz Hill Campground

Last Updated on 9 February 2026 by Rob

One of the challenges of travelling on roads like the North West Coastal Highway is finding a quiet place to rest for a night. There are always trucks at night that can disturb your sleep. That’s why we look for places off busy roads. Quartz Hill Campground meets all the criteria.

Campground Layout and Features

The campground has about 10 unmarked sites. It is in a large, open flat area. There is plenty of space as the vegetation in the area is sparse. Nearly there is a small hill from which the view at sunset is great.

When staying at this site, you need to be self-sufficient as no facilities are provided.

The ground is flat enough to remain hitched up with no need for any levelling.

Quartz Hill Campsite Location

The campground is 7.5km along Onslow after leaving the highway. Onslow is a further 73km.
