This rest area is conveniently located on the road to Exmouth and not far from Coral Bay. It is great for people to get close to the Ningaloo Reef and arrive at their final camping spot early in the day.

You don’t need to be fully contained, as toilets are provided.
Pets are permitted at this site.
Tents are permitted.
Fires are permitted.

Campground Layout and Features
The campground has about 15 well-spaced and unmarked sites. It is in a large, open flat area. Most people set up on the perimeter of the area.
At the site, you will find a single drop toilet. During our stay it was clean.
This site has a dump point and rubbish bins. There is no water at the dump point.
The site has a couple of sheltered picnic tables and fireplaces scattered around.

The campground is 25km north of the turn-off. Coral Bay is a further 65km and Exmouth 190km.

What to Watch Out For at Lyndon River West Rest Area
There is no shade at this site.
The site is a bit exposed, so in windy conditions, it may not be comfortable.
Final Words
This site is quiet at night.
This is not a glamorous site, but it is OK for a one-night rest.
Closeby Campgrounds
Worroora Station is near this campground and near the coast.
If you are heading to Broome, you may like to stay at Quartz Hill and/or the rustic Barn Hill Station on the way.
For those heading south to Perth, you may like to stay at Galena Bridge Rest Area.
