Campground Layout and Features

The campground has about 20 campsites. The sites are flat on a dusty dirt base. There is little shade.

The bushes between many of the sites provide some privacy in some sites.

Have a good look around before you pick a site, as some sites will be better than others in some conditions. As normal, take wind direction into account due to the dusty nature of this site.

Lennard River Campsite Location

The campground is a little south of the Lennard River.

What to Watch Out For at Lennard River Campground

As stated above, this site is dusty. During our stay, the wind was light, but we could see the potential for it to be a dust bowl in windy conditions.

Final Words

We stayed at this site for two nights, doing a day trip to Windjana Gorge and Tunnel Creek.

If you arrive from the west, you can air down before departing, as you will be hitting the unsealed road from the site.

Those heading west can increase their pressures for the highway for the well-deserved 125km smooth drive to Derby.

This is the final campground in our comprehensive Gibb River itinerary and the 8-Day Express Itinerary.
