Campground Layout and Features
Virgin Rock Springsure Camping has 10 – 15 camping sites. A few more are located at the northern end of the parking area near the road. Camping is not permitted directly in front of the park and toilets. The remaining sites are located along the sides of the road to the public washdown area, further from the highway.
The area around the park is fairly flat. However, the ground along the side road is not so flat, so you would need to select a site carefully.
As previously mentioned, this free camp has flushing toilets. There is also a tap for non-potable water. You may need a long hose to fill your tanks. The site also has a rubbish bin.

What to Watch Out For at Virgin Rock Springsure Camping
This site can get very busy. It is a good idea to not arrive too late.
We did not notice any issues with this site. While fairly close to the road, it was quiet at night.
Final Words
This is a great site with fantastic views of Virgin Rock. The formation is lit at night.
In the evening, Nevil visits the site to provide information on local aboriginal history. He brings many artifacts and is very knowledgeable. His show is worth listening to. He asks for a donation, and you can also visit his museum in town.
A van selling food and coffee occupies part of the front parking area. It was there when we arrived a little before lunch and left at about 2 p.m. If you arrive early enough, you may want to buy something. There are signs that camping is not permitted where the van parks.
