Campground Layout and Features
Tully Heads Recreational Area has 25 marked campsites on two grassed areas. The area is mostly flat and shaded in parts. There is sufficient solar power to charge batteries.
One of the camping areas is adjacent to the Volunteer Coast Guard building. The other is beside the toilet/shower block and a BBQ area. This area runs parallel to the road. This second area has no views of the water.
The four sites directly on the water at this campground are the best. These sites are very popular, so you must arrive early to secure one.
A small block of toilets and showers are provided.
All sites are unpowered. Water is available from a tap near the toilet and shower block.
Rubbish bins are provided.
The fee to stay at this campground is $23 per night, and the maximum stay is four consecutive nights. While we were there, one couple left and returned the next day for a further four-night stay. It sounded like they were doing this repeatedly.
Sites are available on a first come first serve basis.
