Sale Showgrounds provides an excellent facility conveniently located in Sale, the centre of which is a short drive away. From here, you can explore the area.
To stay at Sale Showgrounds, there is no need to be self-contained as toilet and shower facilities are provided.
A toilet and shower block are provided. Each shower has a single tap. The water temperature is warm enough, but people who prefer a cool shower may find it a bit hot. The facilities are clean bu a bit run down.
Pets are permitted at this campground.
Tents are not permitted.
Fires are not permitted.
On arrival, you must check in at reception. As you enter the site take the first left. You will pass a building that houses the amenities. Continue to the end of the road where there is a turn-around area. The office is open from noon until 5pm.

Campground Layout and Features
Sale Showgrounds has 87 marked campsites on a large area. The sites are on well-maintained grass, flat, and well-spaced. Most sites have no or little shade.
Sites are all powered, and water hookups are provided. They also have sullage. Some sites will require long leads and hoses.
Large mats are not permitted on the grass. A small doormat is acceptable.
The amenities are new and very clean. While we were there, some of the toilets and showers were locked (to limit the amount of cleaning required, we guess), but this caused no issues.
The site has a laundry with card-operated washers and dryers. We didn’t find a drying line.
Rubbish and recycling bins are provided.
The site has a dump point.
The cost of a site is $35 per night for a couple on a powered site. Unpowered sites are $30 per night. Once you are checked in, you will be assigned a site.

Sale Showgrounds Location
Sale Showgrounds is a 1.5km drive north of Sale. It is adjacent to the Princes Highway. The map below shows the campground’s location. You can zoom out for a more general location.
What to Watch Out For at Sale Showgrounds
Be aware that the Sale show is held on the first week in November. If you plan on staying at this time it would be a good idea to check the dates.
Final Words
This is a great place to stay. The amenities are the best we have found at any showground (and most caravan parks). We recommend it.
